We’ve used water stones in our shop for years and find them to produce the sharpest edge in less time than any other sharpening system. Because water stones are softer than other stones, the surface is worn away and fresh abrasive is continually exposed.  The result is a consistently fast cutting surface.  Keep these generously sized, professional quality stones soaking in water and re-flatten occasionally on a flat abrasive surface. Sharpening has never been faster or easier.  Available in coarse (800), medium (1000), medium fine (1200) and polishing (6000) grits.

Flattening Stone

Waterstones are the fastest and most effective method of sharpening fine edge tools. However, due to their softness, they do require occasional flattening.

Here is a low cost, easy-to-use method for flattening all grits of waterstones. This silicone carbide stone has a hard, long wearing bond and is engineered for superb flatness. Just rub the wet waterstone on the grooved surface until it is perfectly flat.

India Combination Stone

These handy stones are good for general  tool sharpening.  India Stones are a man-made stone with coarse abrasive on one side and fine on the other.  Because these stones are very hard and  wear resistant, they are excellent for sharpening scrapers,  carving tools and other narrow tools that would wear  grooves in softer stones.   1" x 2" x 8"

Honing Guide

This simple and affordable honing guide grips the tool by its sides and holds the edge perpendicular to the rollers path.  This makes it easy to maintain a square edge while moving the assembly back and forth across the stone.  Works with all sizes of chisels and plane irons.  Instructions for setting correct bevel angles included.
