Spiral Ratchet
Screwdriver For generations of
woodworkers the spiral ratchet screwdriver was a must have tool. This traditional
screwdriver will drive and remove screws quickly and is as useful today as it was when it
was first introduced. The sprial ratchet mechanism can be set to clockwise or
counterclockwise rotation and can even be locked for extra turning power. This model
accepts standard 1/4" hex shaft screwdriver bits and drill bits. This handy tool goes
anywhere, no cords or batteries needed.

Stern Universal Bits These are the bits recommended by teacher and author John Alexander. Here
are some of John's comments about the Universal Bit: "It has two nickers and two
lips. Both the nickers and the unthreaded lead point are small and require no
modification. The bit is far more accurately made than the Powerbore and will hold up
well. The metal is harder. The bits configuration makes it twice as aggressive as the
(old Stanley) Powerbore." |

Tool
Handles Replacement handles are
available for chisels and carving tools. The chisel handles (top in photo) are round
with a flat grip area milled into each side. Nickel plated ferrules on each end
ensure that the wood will not split when struck with a mallet or hammer.
The octagon carving tool handles are shaped for maximum
grip and offered in a range of sizes to fit various tools. All handles are made in
Germany from Hornbeam wood. |
